Leo will be mostly pleased with this news
Format of Hex display is now the same both for bold and normal font. See screenshot!
Hex screen rendering improved and few more things fixed.
Btw, added a little tease for Communicator users - V+ Hex module ported to S80 OPL
The only available Hex app for S80, Hexview, is almost completely unusable.
By just talking about Hex:
Why is V+ having problems editing Executable files while e.g. FileDump doesn't?
Happy greets, Jonas
Why executables would be anything different from other files when it comes to hex editing?
Any specific details?
Where you editing opened files (executables that run at that moment)?
rrr, okay I meant OPO and APP files.
I edited Conjugue.app with V+ to change some offsets for making this app compatible with the newest Cliptext.opx. It gave me an error at the last procedure (I didn't removed a byte, though). Martin (Pscience5) did the same with FileDump and no error came up. So I wonder why View+ has problems editing such files, while other apps do not...

Could you tell (send?) me exactly what you were editing, so that I can try it myself.
Generally, if you do not add/remove bytes when editing OPO/APP file, V+ Hex will do it the same way as if you edit any other file.
Leo is much more experienced V+ Hex user and he will surely have something to say here BTW, he edited nBook OS.IMG file (cca 14MB) with V+ Hex, which is a mission impossible for any other EPOC Hexeditor
Here are few more screenshots of Hex Editor for S80 Communicators.
It doesn't have all functions available in V+ Hex, but it's still pretty powerfull
Unlike most of other S80 apps, in Hex Editor it is possible to have full navigation control, which is of most importance for hex editor/viewer:
End of file (EOF) - Ctrl+Right
Start of file (SOF) - Ctrl+Left
Page Down - Ctrl+Down
Page Up - Ctrl+Up
And as usual, jumping to absolute and relative (to current position) offset location.
