Here is a new small program that will probably remind you of DirNote for Psions
In some way, it is a clone of View+ note assigning feature.
With FileNote you can assign text notes to your files/folders.
Also you can launch selected documents/applications and change it's properties (date, time, etc...).
Bookmarks to folders can be assigned too.
There are 2 view modes: File system and Notes. Switch quickly between them with TAB.
You can browse all your drives, including substed ones (virtual drives) - upto max. 12.
All dialog elements are highly customizable (color, size, fonts, etc...).
Well, don't ask me to add file managment functions. I wouldn't like to spoil bussiness to commercial software companies
If anyone interested to try FileNote, let me know
Let images speak
(Note: A cursor is not visible due to ZScreenCapture behaviour)
Finally couldn't resist to add some file management functions.
It would be shame to leave speedy File Browser without it.
Added Copy/Move/Delete/Rename functions. Files/notes can be selected (marked)
and multipled items handled in all operations.
Files can keep attached notes if copied/renamed/moved.
Also, when renaming a file, there is additional option to change letters to
all lower, all upper, first letter upper or first of each word upper.
Browser can handle up to 8000 files/notes items, and each note text is limited
to max. 250 chars.
Browser is very fast, as I said, much faster than PowerFile and incomparably
faster than Symbian built-in File Manager
Don't believe it?

Once again, please, note: FileNote cursor is not visible due to ZScreenCapture behaviour.
1) Added Multiple files attribs editor
Just mark several files and press Ctrl+P (get properties).
You can edit date/time/readOnly,hidden,system attribs of all marked files/folders in one go.
2) Added Activity log
View+ users should know this feature from View+ (VC log).
All activities being performed in FileNote are automatically logged.
Means all file operations (copy, paste, move, rename, delete, change properties, etc...), changing drives, jumping to folders, launching doc/apps, trapped errors, etc...
Activity log can be opened as a third view mode (1.Files,2.Notes) and log entries can be browsed, searched, saved, new entries can be added to log, deleted etc...

P.S. New testers are rushing in - counting 5 (five) now.
Please, slow down
Got feedback from WoGo only - Cheers!
Added (basic) Hex Viewer
Hex display layout is adjusted to dialog size.
Enabled "Jump to location" (absolute) and "Jump to offset" (relative).
File can be scrolled Up/Down, PgUp/PgDn and End/Home.
All necessary fine tunings & clean-ups done.
Added (settings) option to (not) display directory date in File Browser.
Added basic MBM viewer:
- scroll bitmaps
- save current bitmap
- extract all bitmaps
Now, the most difficult job to be done - writing a Readme file
As usual, hope to make it as short as possible
If WoGo gives a hand, all files could be wrapped into a SIS file
Then, all forum members, who ask for it, will get it for free
FileNote, due to (un)expected low interest, will, most probably, not go public!
