Since View+ can read the famous Eikon.mbm only from Disk Z:\ I tried to extract all bitmaps from that file (then I'll edit some bitmaps, regroup them to one file, import this file to PsiROM, compile a new os.img, load this new image to my psion and take a look if it works . But actually I couldn't find a feature to extract all bitmaps to different files... So I did this by hand.
So what do you think of adding a Bitmap Extractor to the great list of features?

It's already there! But you have to look for it
As simple as it could be. Look at the screenshot first:
Should I explain it?
Let's do it from N+, but you can do it from system screen as well, just by pressing DOT and getting VCL (command line).
In that case you have to put full path to Eikon.mbm.
So, we are in Note+. Press Ctrl+Down and you get command line at the bottom. Via Menu (or by typing help) have a look into Help (VCL)
and find mbmsplit command. Everything should be clear now
Tips for doing it quickly:
Place cursor on the Eikon.mbm
Ctrl+Down to get VCL
Ctrl+A to get the list of commands
Select mbmsplit and press button "Input" to place it down into command line
Put SPACE
Press Ctrl+Down to get Eikon.mbm (selected file) into command line
Press SPACE
Ctrl+Right to get File Selector, to browse destination folder (you can create it from there) - press OK and it's put into command line
ENTER and after a second your extracted file are created
Then you do your planned job, repeat the whole process, but this time using command mbmbind

Jonas, if you don't like typing there is a way to automate things
Go to command line
Type mbmsplit %F %P
Via Menu choose "Save as" and save as a batch file. It must have extension .bat+
Then simply press Enter on that file (from N+) or View (SPACE) from system and you will be followed by dialogs:
%F will open dialog where you choose the MBM file to split
%P will ask you for the path where to extract bitmaps
ENTER and... finished
Also you can save it as VCL Alias item.
Read a bit about all this in VCL_Readme.txt and you'll discover how easy is to
automate almost anything you may think of
Edo, you keep amazing us. Each time we think to find something news to ask, it's already in it ! Just great!
Helping Kees to translate his article in PDATOAAL I didn't see this option, so there's much more to exploit
